ATLANTA — Help Inc., provider of the PrePass weigh-station bypass service, has introduced a data analytics tool to help fleet customers better manage their toll transactions.

Inform Tolling presents key tolling information on dashboards designed to help fleet managers draw conclusions quickly and make informed decisions about their tolls, said Andrew Johnson, chief marketing officer.

Help Inc. introduced the program at a Sept. 27 press conference here at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show.

Johnson said Inform Tolling currently is in beta testing, but PrePass customers can sign up now for free.

“We will be interacting with those customers to further develop the program over the next couple months,” he said.

Inform Tolling works with Help Inc.’s PrePass Plus service, a transponder system that combines weigh-station bypass and electronic toll payment under one account.

Fleets can use Inform Tolling to see where their truck tolls are being assessed and confirm that they are getting the best possible rates. It also can help fleets quickly identify fraudulent toll charges and track toll violations.

“Inform is not data for the sake of data,” said Drew Anderson, director of client relations.

The issue for carriers is not a lack of data, but extracting answers from the data they do have, he said.

The new offering is an expansion of Help Inc.’s Inform data platform, which the company introduced last year with Inform Safety. The Inform Safety tool provides insights on factors that affect their safety scores, which can influence their bypass rates at weigh stations and inspection sites.
