Overnite Boosts First-Quarter Earnings Guidance
ess-than-truckload carrier Overnite Corp. upgraded its first-quarter earnings outlook Friday to the high end of its previously issued guidance.
The company said in a statement that its earnings will be at or above the high end of its previously forecasted 32 to 38 cents a share.
"We continued to see improvement in our customer mix and a stable pricing environment during the first quarter,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Leo Suggs.
ast year’s first-quarter earnings were 27 cents a share, up from 20 cents 2003.
The company said it will release its first-quarter results after the market closes on April 28.
Overnite Corp. is ranked No. 17 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
