Oshkosh’s Fiscal First-Quarter Earnings Slip; Sales Rise

Specialty truck maker Oshkosh Truck Corp.’s fiscal first-quarter profit fell to $41.2 million or 55 cents a share, from $53.1 million or 72 cents a year earlier, the company said Friday.Sales rose 27% to $1 billion from $790 million, the company said in a statement. Operating income rose 3.5% to $76.6 million. The company raised its full-year guidance to $3.15 to $3.25 per share, based on its acquisition of construction equipment manufacturer JLG Industries, which it said would add about 10 cents a share to its earnings.
