Oshkosh Truck Wins $179.3 Million Army Contract

Specialty truck maker Oshkosh Truck Corp. won a $179.3 million U.S. Army contract for heavy equipment mobility truck systems, Bloomberg reported.

In a statement, the U.S. Defense Department did not specify how many trucks the contract calls for. Work is expected to be completed by the end of next year, Bloomberg said.

Oshkosh manufactures heavy equipment mobility trucks including the HEMTT, which can carry up to 13 tons of payload “across any terrain on the planet,” according to Oshkosh’s Web site.
