pecialty truck maker Oshkosh Truck Corp. Tuesday reported improved earnings for its second quarter ended March 31, raised its earnings guidance for the year and boosted its dividend payments.
The company said its net income was $38.2 million or $1.04 a share, up from $22.5 million or 62 cents last year.
Sales rose 29.7% to $672.4 million from $518.2 million a year ago, the company said in a statement.
Oshkosh raised its earnings estimate for the year to $4.25 from $3.85 and boosted its quarterly dividend payment by 5%, to 13.25 cents a share.
The company also said its operating income increased 78.5% to $62.6 million for the quarter.
