Oshkosh Completes $3.2 Bln. Acquisition of Construction Firm

pecialty truck maker Oshkosh Truck Corp. said Wednesday it had completed its acquisition of construction equipment firm JLG Industries for about $3.2 billion.

The all-cash deal was for $28 per share, Oshkosh now expects to surpass $6 billion in net sales for fiscal 2007, the company said in a statement.

Oshkosh now estimates that its first-quarter 2007 earnings-per-share, including the JLG acquisition, will be 35 to 40 cents. It said it expects to provide sales and per-share earnings estimates for fiscal 2007 in the first week of February 2007, when its reports its earnings for the first quarter.

Oshkosh’s fiscal year 2007 began Oct. 1 of this year.
