Olympic Officials Praise Trucking Help During Games

Letters from the Utah Department of Transportation thanked state trucking associations all over the country for helping prevent road congestion and bringing in goods during the February Winter Olympics in Utah.

David M. Creer, Utah Trucking Association executive director, said the UDOT letters were well-deserved praise for the industry.

“There are a lot of critics of trucks these days, but the truth of the matter is I think we shined in this,” he said. “I think the trucking industry needed a pat on the back for this.”
