November Import Prices Rise 0.2%, Labor Department Reports

he price of goods imported to the United States rose 0.2% in November after falling more than 2% in the previous two months, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Economists expected prices to rise 0.1% in November, Bloomberg reported. Excluding petroleum, prices rose 0.7%, Labor said.

The price of natural gas, which is not included in the petroleum category, soared 30.3%, the biggest gain in two years, Labor said.
