Lawmakers in High Point, North Carolina are wooing Total Quality Logistics into their city, voting Nov. 21 to offer $70,000 of performance-based incentives if the company were to open an office and hire 70 employees over five years.

A company spokesman told Transport Topics that the jobs would include logistics account executives and salespeople, recruiters, trainers and management with an average salary of $36,000 a year. With commissions, average compensation for a trained Logistics Account Executive should average at least $64,035 by year two and $100,746 by year five.

TQL has two other locations in North Carolina, in Durham and Charlotte, with a combined 130 employees. The Durham location opened in January 2015, and the Charlotte office opened in January 2010.

The Cincinnati-based company plans to decide whether to open a High Point location, which would cost about $500,000, early next year.

TQL ranks No. 27 on the Transport Topics Top 50 list of the largest logistics companies in North America with more 4,200 employees in 57 offices across 24 states.
