New Qualcomm Unit Leader Stresses Information Management

OSTON — Given the host of challenges facing the trucking industry, it is critical for fleets to manage information the best way possible, the president of Qualcomm’s Wireless Business Solutions Unit said.

Six months after becoming president of Qualcomm’s trucking communications unit, Joan Waltman told Transport Topics that with challenges ranging from driver shortages and soaring fuel prices to the costly new engines on the horizon, there are limits to what you can do to fight back. But, she said, the “one thing you can do is try to do more with what you have. And to do that you need to have information.”
