Navistar Unit Delays Filing Annual Report Amid Probe

Navistar International Corp., which has not filed financial results since September 2005, said its financcial unit will delay filing a 2006 annual report because of ongoing accounting problems, Bloomberg reported late Monday.Navistar Financial Corp. was not able to file the report for the period ended Oct. 31, 2006, by Monday’s deadline, the company said in a federal filing, Bloomberg reported.Navistar made a similar filing on Jan. 17 about its own annual report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.Separately, the company is scheduled to have a hearing at the New York Stock Exchange Tuesday. The NYSE has continued to trade Navistar’s stock while it probes the company’s accounting issues.
