Mullen Group Reports Third-Quarter Profit

anadian firm Mullen Group Income Fund reported late Tuesday that it earned $13.7 million or 29 cents a share in the third quarter, up from $5.9 million or 14 cents a year earlier.

Mullen said it generated $119.4 in revenue, up from $85.2 million a year earlier.

It was the first quarter of the company’s existence since becoming the successor to Mullen Transportation, the company said in a statement.



Mullen said most of the revenue increase was from the company’s trucking segment. Based in Alberta, Canada, the company also has oilfield and gas exploration operations.

Mullen is ranked No. 63 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
