Miller Acquires Tank Cleaning, Leasing Businesses in Va.

Miller Transportation Services Inc., an affiliate of tank truck carrier Miller Transporters Inc., said it has acquired three businesses in Richmond, Va., offering truck and tank cleaning and trailer leasing.

The acquisition closed April 1. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Commercial Power Cleaning, Total Cleaning Power and Tank Trailer Leasing will operate under the Miller Total Clean name.

The businesses offer exterior cleaning of trucks and trailers, internal tank cleaning for the bulk tank truck industry and short- and long-term leasing of insulated tank trailers.

The companies will operate separately from other Miller holdings, said Lee Miller, president of Miller Transportation Services.

“This acquisition is consistent with Miller's goal of increasing its nondriver revenue growth while providing excellent service to the transportation industry,” he said in an announcement.
