McLeod Acquires Logistics Software Firm

McLeod Software said Wednesday that it had purchased Intergrated Logistics Execution Network Systems, or iLENS, a logistics software company.

The acquisition brings McLeod into the shipper and logistics software business, complementing the company’s current truckload and broker software offerings, Tom McLeod, chief executive officer of McLeod Software, said in a statement.

The iLENS line includes freight procurement, load execution and spot market software, McLeod Software said. Current customers include Greatwide Logistics and Smithfield Foods.

Michael Voelk, founder of iLENS, will become the vice president of sales for the iLENS software within McLeod.
