Mack Leasing System Celebrates 30th Anniversary
It’s been three decades since the first Mack R686 model tractor was rented by one of the eight founding member companies of Mack Leasing System. In 1987, eight Mack dealers and the Mack Trucks, Inc. management team launched a new lease and rental organization to offer Mack customers alternative options to drive and use quality Mack vehicles. More Mack dealers joined the Mack Leasing System over the years expanding the network, while we saw a consolidation of lease/rental companies within the lease industry channel. National companies like Lend Lease, Rollins and Ruan were acquired as were numerous local and regional independent lease/rental companies over the last thirty years while, Dealer owned leasing companies have been able to grow and expand. Truck dealers in the North American market saw the opportunity to grow their full service lease, rental, and contract maintenance because other lease/rental companies left the market by consolidation. The Mack Leasing System organization is still driven by its’ original vision and mission of providing Mack dealers with the tools and resources to offer its fleet customers with a competitive lease, rental and contract maintenance offering.
Matt Peterson the current Executive Director of Mack Leasing System reflects back on his 20 year career with the organization. “It was an easy choice to join the Mack Trucks company and work with a strong dealer network.
