Once completed, about 30 jobs will be added, and the facility will have the capability to house about 24,000 pallet positions, doubling the center’s current pallet capacity.

Lineage provides temperature-controlled supply chain and logistics services. The company reported the Sunnyvale center will be its first fully automated development in North America.

Lineage’s automated storage and retrieval systems technology is designed to move product through the center’s nine-level, 110-foot ceiling location. Full operation of the new facility is expected in 2019.

Novi, Mich.-based Lineage ranks No. 18 on the Transport Topics Top 50 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.
