Letter to the Editor: Enlightening Travel
recently returned from participating in the International Motor Show for Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, Germany, and was telling my colleagues in the business of manufacturing fifth wheels for tractors how impressed I was with it.
I read your Sept. 27 op-ed column, “Stranger in a Strange Land,” and agree with the author that the show can provide U.S. users with insight as to what we may soon see here in North America. Innovation does not begin or end at our borders.
Many users may be concerned about attending a show in a strange land where English is not the primary language. However, I found I was able to carry on conversations with almost everyone from taxi drivers to technicians attending the show.
