rucking magnate J.B. Hunt, founder of truckload firm J.B. Hunt Transport Services, remains in critical condition from head injuries he suffered after falling on ice over the weekend, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

Hunt slipped on ice Saturday and was hospitalized at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark., according to a statement issued Monday by the Pinnacle Group, an Arkansas real estate firm of which Hunt is a member, AP said.

Hunt, 79, stepped down as senior chairman of the truckload carrier in December 2004, nine years after retiring as chairman of the board.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services is ranked No. 10 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
