Intermec’s Loss Widens; CEO Departs

Intermec said its first-quarter loss widened on higher costs and that CEO Patrick Byrne has left the company.

The supply chain technology company lost $16.4 million, compared with a loss of $6.1 million a year earlier. Revenue rose 1% to $179.7 million.

Chairman Allen Lauer was appointed interim CEO until a permanent replacement is picked, the Associated Press reported.
