Hub Group Posts Record First-Quarter Profit

Hub Group said its expenses decreased 3.9% in the quarter compared with last year.
hird-party logistics provider Hub Group Inc. reported record first-quarter net earnings late Wednesday, posting a profit of $5.3 million or 51 cents a share, compared with $2.7 million or 33 cents last year.
The company said its revenue rose 3.5% to $339.9 million.
It reported its first-quarter intermodal revenue dropped 1.1%, to $233.7 million. Truckload brokerage revenue rose 18% to 60.1 million.
