Grote Industries Creates 100-Year Trucking Legacy

Grote patented a reflector that used a revolutionary new aspherical lens that was 25% more effective than other lenses.

Truck lights and reflectors are things a truck driver may take for granted today, but in the early days of the industry lights were much more fragile and reflectors were nonexistent.

It couldn’t be foretold in 1901, when William D. Grote went into the laundry and cleaning supply business, that his venture would eventually lead to the high-quality lights and reflectors universally in use today.

One hundred years and four generations later, the business William Grote began, and now known as Grote Industries, has become an innovator in lighting equipment for motor vehicles.
