lorida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) vetoed a so-called "road rage" bill that would have forced drivers doing the speed limit out of the left lane, news services reported.

Bush vetoed the Road Rage Reduction Act Thursday that was passed by the legislature in April, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

The bill would have allowed police to cite drivers obeying the speed limit with a ticket and points if they failed to move over for faster cars. It would not have affected trucks.

Bush said the bill addresses a perception that Florida roads are plagued with rolling roadblocks but that there are no facts to back that up, the paper said.

He also said the measure could have alienated potential tourists from visiting the state, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
