Edgy Nasstrac Members Ponder Group’s Future

NAPLES, Fla. — Amid widespread membership concerns about the future of the National Small Shipments Traffic Conference, the group’s president told attendees at its spring meeting here that the organization was financially sound and searching for a new executive director.

Terri Ferraro, corporate manager of transportation for consumer products manufacturer Fiskars Brands in Madison, Wis., and Nasstrac’s president, said in her public remarks that she wanted to abate rumors that the shippers’ group was facing financial difficulties.

In opening the spring conference April 22, she told about 100 members that a search committee was “moving forward in our search for an executive director,” a position that has been vacant nearly eight months.
