Eaton to Restructure Units’ Reporting

Vehicle parts manufacturer Eaton Corp. said Friday it will realign its financial reporting structure, increasing the number of business segments reported from four to six, to reflect the company’s growth and changing mix of businesses.

The change will take effect on Jan. 1 and will be reflected in its first-quarter 2008 financial results, the company said in a statement.

The truck and automotive groups will continue as individual business segments, Eaton said.

The new segments will include an electrical group, with two segments: power distribution and power quality, and a fluid power group with two segments: aerospace and hydraulics.
