ogistics and delivery firm Dynamex Inc. reported net income of $2.7 million or 23 cents a share for its fourth fiscal 2005 quarter ended July 31, compared with $3.1 million or 26 cents a year earlier.

Sales rose 13.1% to $84 million for the quarter, the company said late Wednesday.

For the full fiscal year, Dynamex earned $11.2 million, down from $12.8 million the previous year. Sales rose to $321.1 million from $287.9 million.

Net income for the full year was negatively impacted by higher transportation costs, the company said.

Dynamex, which provides same-day delivery services in the U.S. and Canada, is ranked No. 71 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
