Dept. of Labor to Fund Texas Logistics Training Program

A grant by the Department of Labor will soon fund a production and supply chain logistics training program in Fort Worth, Texas, the Dallas Business Journal reported.

The program will take place at the Alliance Global Logistics Hub, and will train professionals in the logistics industry, the Journal said Tuesday.

The training will be provided through the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council, an Alexandria, Va., industry group.

Those taking the program will be offered a certified logistics association certificate and a certified logistics technician certificate, the Journal said.

Companies operating at the Alliance Global Logistics Hub support the program, including DSC Logistics, Exel Logistics and Andersen Logistics.
