inancially troubled truck components supplier Dana Corp. Tuesday identified four of the eight North American factories it will close during the next two years as it scales back to exit bankruptcy protection.
The plants are in Syracuse, Indiana; Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Guelph, Ontario; and Thorold, Ontario, Dana said in a statement today.
The closings will occur between Feb. 28, 2007, and June 30, 2008, the Toledo, Ohio-based company said.
Dana, which filed for bankruptcy in March after Ford Motor Co., its biggest customer, announced steep North American production cuts, said last month it would close eight plants. (
