C.H. Robinson Quarterly Earnings Increase

ransportation and logistics firm C.H. Robinson Worldwide late Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $70.4 million or 40 cents a share, up from $54.1 million or 38 cents a year earlier.

Total transportation gross profit for the quarter increased 23.2% to $243.9 million, the company said in a statement.

Truck gross profit rose 23.5% and intermodal gross profit rose 6.9%, the company said.



Total revenue for the quarter increased to $1.7 billion, up from $1.5 billion in 2005. Transportation revenue rose to $1.4 billion for the quarter, from $1.2 billion a year earlier.
