Celadon Group Expects Higher 1Q Profits

ruckload carrier Celadon Group Inc. said Friday it expected its first-quarter earnings to be in the range of 24 cents to 26 cents per share.

img src="/sites/default/files/images/articles/celadonlogo.gif" width=100 align=right>The company said in a statement it earned 17 cents in the first quarter of 2004. It said the 2005 pe-share projection was based on about 1.9 million shares, or 23% increase from a year earlier.

eladon, ranked No. 49 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies, said it would report its earnings on April 19.
