Bruce Carlton Named NITL President

The National Industrial Transportation League said Bruce Carlton will become the group’s president on June 1. He will succeed interim president Annette Sandberg.

Carlton, assistant administrator at the Transportation Department’s Maritime Administration, has more than 30 years’ of transportation industry experience, the shippers’ group said.

Sandberg was the former chief of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. She had succeeded John Ficker, who stepped down from the NITL post in November after four years with the group.
