BAX Sets U.S.-Canada Service

Airfreight company BAX Global and sister company Schenker, a logistics firm, said they are offering a new overnight ground service between the United States and Canada.

The direct next-day ground service will give shippers now have a more economical alternative to overnight air freight between Newark, N.J. and Toronto, the two said.

“Our strength of the existing ground freight department, working with BAX, will get shipments into Toronto and the Canadian market one day earlier,” said Scott Cairncross, vice president and National Product Manager-Ground, for Schenker of Canada Ltd.

BAX Global is ranked No. 12 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers. It and Schenker are a part of DB Logistics, the transportation and logistics division of Germany’s Deutsche Bahn AG.
