Rand McNally has introduced the latest generation of its GPS devices for commercial truck drivers.
The redesigned IntelliRoute TND 730 and TND 530 LM feature new hardware, a faster processor, new graphical options and visual upgrades to its mapping, the company said in its Aug. 21 announcement.
In addition to Rand McNally’s truck navigation software, the 7-inch and 5-inch devices also offer new features such as toll cost estimates in route planning, more advanced lane guidance instruction, an “avoid areas” option and an enhanced multistop trip-planning feature.
Both products are compatible with Rand McNally’s HD 100, a separate device that enables electronic hours-of-service logging and other fleet-management features. The HD 100, which plugs into a truck’s onboard diagnostic port, also works with the TND 720 and Android and Apple tablets and smart phones.
