Samantha Gallegos/Transport TopicsTruckload Carriers Association President Chris Burruss resigned his post June 26 without any advance notification, citing personal reasons.
His departure was confirmed by trade association spokesman Michael Nellenbach, who said no further details about Burruss’ departure were available.
“A search committee for a new president has been formed to find a replacement,” Nellenbach told Transport Topics.
In the interim, Executive Vice President Bill Giroux and Vice President Debbie Sparks will be in charge of the Alexandria, Virginia-based trade association, Nellenbach said.
A Missouri native, Burruss had been president of the group for more than 10 years. He succeeded Robert Hirsch, who was dismissed from the post in 2003.
