UPS Freight to Raise Rates 4.4%

Tim Boyle/Bloomberg News

UPS Freight said it will raise its rates on average 4.4% for less-than-truckload shipments, effective March 31.

The rate increase covers non-contractual LTL shipments and may vary by specific lane or shipment based on weight or class, the company said in a March 14 statement.

Customers will be able to view and download the new rates March 31 at www.ltl.upsfreight.com.

UPS Inc. is ranked No. 1 on the Transport Topics Top 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
