The U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee said the owners of carriers Three Angels Farms and Terri’s Farm have been indicted by a federal grand jury for violating Department of Transportation regulations.
The indictment charges — Dorian Ayache the owner of interstate carrier Three Angels Farms — with nine counts of violating DOT regulations, one count of conspiring to defraud the United States and two counts of obstructing a grand jury investigation.
Also indicted was Theresa Vincent, owner of Terri’s Farm, the renamed Three Angels carrier. Vincent was charged with one count of conspiring to defraud the United States and one count of perjury.
The accused could not be reached for comment.
In June 2012, DOT said Three Angels Farms posed an imminent hazard to public safety and issued an order requiring Ayache to cease commercial motor vehicle operations.
The indictment alleges that, in violation of this order, Ayache continued his commercial motor carrier operations under various names, including Terri’s Farm, as well as under other names. DOT later categorized Terri’s Farm as a continuation of Three Angels Farm.
