Cardinal Merges With Greatwide Logistics Services

Third-party logistics company Cardinal Logistics Management Inc. said it has merged with Greatwide Logistics Services. Terms were not disclosed.

The combined companies will have more than $850 million in annual revenue, 5,000 drivers and 125 operating locations, Cardinal Logistics, Concord, N.C., said.

Greatwide Logistics Services, Dallas, offers irregular-route truckload, less-than-truckload and logistics services.

New York private equity firm Centerbridge Partners owns Greatwide and purchased Cardinal last August.

Greatwide is ranked No. 23 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers and No. 27 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of North American logistics firms. Cardinal Logistics is ranked No. 32 on the TT logistics 50.
