DEF Pump Price Holds at $2.79 a Gallon

The retail price of diesel exhaust fluid at U.S. truck stops held at $2.79 a gallon in January from the previous month, Integer Research Ltd. reported.

DEF’s pump price in Canada also was flat, holding at 80 Canadian cents per liter, London-based Integer said.

Almost 900 U.S. truck stops now sell DEF at the pump, while 13 stops in Canada offer DEF, a mixture of urea and distilled water that is necessary for trucks using selective catalytic reduction, or SCR, technology.
