Livingston International said it has acquired barge freight handling and forwarding company MBLX Inc. Terms were not disclosed.
MBLX was founded in 1996 and specializes in shipping bulk, break bulk, heavy manufacturing goods and raw materials, according to Livingston.
“MBLX serves a growing river logistics market in the United States, providing full barge load and less-than-barge load services to companies shipping raw and bulk materials as well as finished products and manufactured goods into and within the U.S.,” Livingston President Peter Luit said in a statement.
Livingston International, Chicago, is an international freight forwarding company and customs broker.
