Roadrunner Buys Direct Connection Transportation

Roadrunner Transportation Systems said it has acquired Phoenix-based truckload carrier Direct Connection Transportation for about $1.3 million.

Last year, Direct Connection generated about $8 million in revenue, Roadrunner said.

“The DCT acquisition enhances our truckload service offering in the Southwest region due to its concentration in temperature-controlled products,” said Roadrunner CEO Mark DiBlasi.

Roadrunner is ranked No. 32 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
