Epes Logistics Services said Friday it has acquired Cargo Masters Inc., a freight transportation and logistics firm based in Charlotte, N.C. Terms were not disclosed.
Epes said the acquisition will further the expansion of its Charlotte office, which has grown from two to 13 employees in the 14 months it has been open.
Earlier this year, Epes bought Meredith Transport Inc., a freight brokerage firm based in Archdale, N.C.
Epes Logistics, Greensboro, N.C., a privately held third-party logistics and freight management company, is a unit of Epes Carriers, which is ranked No. 81 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
