Eaton Corp. completed a $13 billion acquisition of Ireland-based Cooper Industries, the component supplier said.
The companies had a combined revenue of $21.8 billion for the four quarters ending Sept. 30, Eaton said.
The combined operation will integrate leaders from both companies, Eaton said, and the integration process is expected to take two to three years.
The deal, first announced in May, is the largest acquisition by Eaton, which makes components for the trucking and automobile industries.
