Investor Carl Icahn on Thursday began a takeover bid for Oshkosh Corp. that is worth about $3 billion.
The offer was disclosed by Icahn, the largest shareholder in the industrial truck manufacturer, in a letter to shareholders.
The offer was for $32.50 per share, or 21% more than the stock’s closing price on Oct. 10.
His tender offer for Oshkosh shares continues for 45 days.
