LAS VEGAS — Mack Trucks Inc. and Michelin North America said they will continue as the main sponsors of American Trucking Associations’ Share the Road program in 2013.
Mack provided the program with a new Pinnacle tractor-trailer last year, which has been to many states spreading the messages of safe driving, the companies said.
Mack was the founding sponsor in 2001; Michelin joined in 2006.
“Mack is pleased to be part of such a life-saving program,” said John Walsh, Mack’s vice president of marketing.
Many of the Share the Road safety programs are aimed at educating teens on how to safely drive on highways near trucks.
In addition, media campaigns and the use of social media allows the program to reach tens of millions of people throughout the United States and Canada.
