Celadon Trucking Services said Wednesday it has agreed to purchase select operating equipment from truckload carrier USA Dry Van Logistics, based in McAllen, Texas.
Terms were not disclosed. Celadon, a unit of Celadon Group Inc., said it made the deal to increase density in its major traffic lanes between the United States and Mexico, and reinforce its driver pool.
USA Dry Van’s “footprint has tremendous potential to supplement the existing cross-border expertise for which Celadon is known and further accelerates our overall growth plans,” Paul Will, Celadon Group’s president, said in a statement.
USA Dry Van, formerly known as USA Logistics Carriers, is a significant provider of U.S.-Mexico cross-border shipments.
