XPO Logistics reported a second-quarter loss and said it had acquired Canada-based Kelron Logistics for $8 million.
XPO lost $5.2 million, or 34 cents per share, compared with net income of $914,000, or 11 cents, a year ago.
Revenue increased 23.7% to $54.5 million from the same period last year.
Mississauga, Ontario-based Kelron Logistics generated about $100 million in the 12 months ended June 30, XPO said.
