Forward Air Corp.’s second-quarter net income rose to $14.2 million, or 48 cents a share, from $12 million, or 40 cents, a year ago.
Revenue rose 12.2% to $148.3 million, the carrier said late Thursday.
Airport-to-airport revenue rose to $102 million, from $91 million, while logistics unit revenue improved to $21 million, from $18 million.
Forward Air, a contractor to the air cargo industry, is ranked No. 46 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
