Peterbilt Motors Co. on July 10 announced it is now producing its new Model 579 truck, launched at the Mid-America Trucking Show in March.
Peterbilt, Denton, Texas, said the 579 features an aerodynamic body to enhance fuel efficiency and an interior designed for driver comfort and productivity.
The first 579 production vehicles are being built for Peterbilt and PacLease dealers, the truck maker said.
