Iteris’ Income Jumps in Fiscal 1Q

Iteris Inc., which makes lane-departure warning systems for the trucking industry, said Thursday its fiscal first-quarter profit jumped from a year ago.

Net income was $797,000, or 2 cents per share, compared with $144,000, or zero cents, a year earlier, the company said.

Operating income was $1.4 million, up from $321,000 last year.

Net sales and contract revenue grew 7.1%% to $15.7 million for the fiscal quarter ended June 30, Iteris said.
