Intermec’s Fourth-Quarter Income Declines

Supply chain technology firm Intermec Inc. said its fourth-quarter net earnings were $5 million, or 8 cents per share, compared with $9.3 million, or 15 cents, a year ago.

Revenue fell to $141.7 million, down 19.1% from $221.5 million a year ago, the company said in a statement.

For the full 2009 year, Intermec lost $11.8 million, or 19 cents a share, compared with a profit of $35.7 million, or 58 cents, in 2008.

Revenue for the year fell 26.1% to $658.2 million, from $890.9 million the previous year.
