A small airplane reporting on traffic made an emergency landing on the New Jersey Turnpike Monday morning, the Associated Press reported. No one was injured.

The plane landed in the Philadelphia suburbs just before 7 a.m., after a low oil pressure indicator came on, AP said.

The incident backed up traffic for about a mile and half in each direction on the busy north-south artery, AP reported.

The pilot was providing traffic updates for Philadelphia radio and television stations and brought the plane down safely on the turnpike’s northbound lanes near Cherry Hill, N.J.

The Federal Aviation Administration began an investigation into the incident, AP said.
